S-Curve Contracting -- Harness 700 Data router

Project scope
This design was performed for SAAB Grintek. For this project S-Curve Technologies designed a full mil-spec data router through four development cycles.

The design is based on an intel xScale processor board, an extended I/O board consisting of a USB Host, USB Hub, USB Device to Serial Converter, RS232, RS422, RS485, Ethernet, Firewire, Canbus, and a Power supply unit.

The design makes use of the uClinux embedded operating system.

Main design specifications

Power input	: 15Volts DC
Ethernet ports	: 4 x 10/100Mbs
USB host	: 2 x USB 2.0 Host of which 1x expanded through 4 port hub.
USB device	: 2 x USB 2.0 device multiplexed to internal RS232.
Canbus	: Standard CAN Protocol
Serial	: 4 x RS232, RS422, RS485 multiplexed.
Firewire	: IEEE1394b.
